Leon B Campaign Screen Goes Black in Police Station
The S.T.A.R.S. office was an area of the Raccoon Police Station featured in Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 2 remake, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis,[1] [2] and the Resident Evil 3 remake. It was the main headquarters of the S.T.A.R.S. tactical team. This was where the S.T.A.R.S. members gathered, finished paperwork, sent radio transmissions, and stored items and weapons.

Description
A rectangular room, the office contained four desks, two of which are split desks capable of seating two people a piece for a total of six desks. Barry, Chris, Jill and Rebecca's desks can be identified by their personal items. Captain Wesker's desk was on the left side from the entrance. There's a gun/storage locker and a radio set to the right side of the entrance. It also contained a fax machine, a book case, the S.T.A.R.S flag and printing paper.
In the reimagined version, Wesker instead had his own personal office which was immediately to the left when entering the room. The armory, which had an array of powerful firearms, was located in the left most section of the office and could only be accessed by members of S.T.A.R.S. Dispatch radio equipment can be found at the right most section of the office.
Guide
Resident Evil 2 (1998)
In both Leon A and Claire A the player must enter this room to obtain the Unicorn Medal to use in the Main hall in order to obtain the Spade Key and progress.
A First Aid Spray is inside the Medical Bag. A fax addressed to Chris Redfield appears in the faxing machine.
In Claire B, the Diamond Key appears instead of the Unicorn Medal.
Depending on the scenario, different items can appear inside the Weapon cabinet:
- In Leon B scenario, the Magnum is inside the cabinet.
- In Claire A, the Grenade Launcher is stored inside.
Searching behind Albert Wesker's desk, player will find H. Gun Bullets. After searching the desk 50 times, a secret film canister will come out. After producing the picture in the Dark Room, a photo of Rebecca Chambers will appear.
Claire and Leon only physically see each other a few times during the course of Resident Evil 2. In Leon A/Claire B, the S.T.A.R.S Office is the place they reunite after being separated in the introduction.
Resident Evil 2 (2019)
Whilst the S.T.A.R.S office remains broadly the same in the 2019 remake, there are two major structural differences in this version of the game.
Firstly, Wesker's desk has been secluded inside of a miniaturized private office, which is directly to the left as one enters from the door. In this office, a player will find the C4 Detonator and the Internal Memo file on the desk. If the player develops the Film: "Hiding Place", checking the bottom draw at the front of Wesker's desk will open that draw, revealing a box containing a weapon's mod (Red Dot Sight (Lightning Hawk) for Leon and High-Capacity Mag. (MQ-11) for Claire). Checking this open drawer a second time will also reveal the Film: "Rising Rookie", which when developed becomes a picture of Rebecca Chambers in a basketball uniform, a rework of an easter egg from the original game.
Secondly, the office has been expanded; the back left portion of the room, where Wesker's desk was in the original game, has been turned into an Armory, with a computer-controlled locked door. The computer that controls it has a security lock that cannot be deactivated by the player unless they find the USB Dongle Key. If they do this, then they can open the armor and retrieve a powerful weapon (the Lightning Hawk Magnum for Leon and the MQ-11 Submachine Gun for Claire) as well as the Letter to S.T.A.R.S Members file. They will need to manually retrieve the USB Dongle Key from the computer once they have unlocked the Armory door in order to use it to unlock the weapon's case containing a mod for the weapon they found in the Armory in the bottommost segment of the Underground Stairs.
The player will be able to retrieve a Red Herb from the lockers to the right of the door, and a Flash Grenade at Chris' desk. Checking the medical supply pouch will reveal a First Aid Spray, just like in the original game.
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Jill Valentine heads back into the S.T.A.R.S. office to retrieve her trusty lockpick lying on her desk. She takes a fax regarding the new Samurai Edge handgun inside the faxing machine. While fighting zombie hordes in the streets, Carlos Oliveira sends an urgent message to radio control inside the room, which Jill is able to hear.
Either the Magnum or Hk-P Grenade Launcher can appear randomly inside the weapon cabinet. The First Aid Spray can be found in the medic bag near the Rebecca's table. And H. Gun Bullets can be found on the Barry's table.
Resident Evil 3 (2020)
The S.T.A.R.S. office is the main key area during the first segment of Carlos'. Some items from the previous remake can be obtained here as well.
After entering the room, a cutscene will play where Carlos and Tyrell Patrick communicates with Dr. Nathaniel Bard via computer.

- The official localization of Resident Evil 2 suggests that Barry was a member of the NRA. In the original script, Leon and Claire instead make the connection that he clearly loved guns.
